Great food, great people!!!!
The place serves large dishes and for affordable prices. super nice staff. I recommend this place.
MoreVery low quality burrito. Mostly iceberg lettuce. Too expensive for the quality.
MoreMy favourite Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg and probably in NYC as well. Very roomy, there's always a table, the portions are large, and the nachos are so great. It's all you can ask from a mexican dining experience.
MoreHad a great experience here. Friendly staff, the food came out quickly and it was soooo delicious!!
MoreLove this place for brunch! Great service. Guacamole is really taste and fresh. Highly recommend for groups too as they have the space.
MoreOverpriced and the food has left me feeling an intense abdominal pain. The chorizo tasted like it had dried out on the grill hours before it was served.
MoreI'll miss you taco chulo. Been a staple of the Southside for 10+ years
Taco tortillas were really soggy. Chips and salsa decent but definitely overpriced.
MoreGreat for delivery and eat-in experiences. They delivery pretty quickly - haven't had a late delivery yet. The restaurant is spacious and great for groups. The staff is always friendly and nice. Get the nachos! All of the burritos are delicious.
MoreI have loved Taco Chulo for YEARS. The margaritas are awesome, the food is always delicious, and the staff are super great. Definitely much better experience to eat in, or grab a drink while you wait for a to-go. Being a CA native, this is some of the best Mexican food I've found in NYC, and I should know.
MoreGreat burritos and margaritas
Honestly hated the food and I ordered shrimp tacos smh at the littlest popcorn breaded shrimp. The worst I ever had, never coming back.
MoreIncredible brunch offerings, great for veggies and meat eaters alike.
Service washer great, food was excellent. I'll visit again.
Good food at a great price. Would definitely come back and try brunch.
Good Mexican food and a server who knew right away exactly what was vegetarian! Watch out for the fiercely hot pepper garnishes!
MoreVery delicious food, great service. We had frozen hibiscus margaritas. Definitely coming back
MoreDelicious Mexican Food!
Great food! Cute waiter c;
Such good food and good people!
Super great nachos, also kid friendly.
Lovely food, nice vibe.
To say that I’m a regular at Taco Chulo would be the understatement of the century! The staff is welcoming, there’s a variety of delicious vegetarian options (My favorites: conejo burrito & taco salad), & Scott makes the best margaritas. Whether you come for brunch or dinner, I can guarantee that you will leave satisfied!
MoreIt looks like a relaxed contemporary bar/eatery. And I suppose it is. I came to grab a bite of Mexican at a place that was not Chipotle and what I found was reasonably priced, flavorful, and fresh. Unlike some restaurants, the burrito is not part of a platter of foods, but at this price point, that’s ok. I ordered a Classico burrito with pico de Gallo and carne asada. It did not disappoint. I also had the horchata which was sweet and spicy. I would definitely come again.
MoreFor Mexican food lovers. Simple place, but not cheap. Good food.
New look same great taste! Had their brunch for the first time and it was amazing. I love this place. I try to go everytime I'm in Williamsburg... actually it's the only reason I go to Williamsburg.
MoreWe went on a Saturday around 7pm with our 9month old, it wasn't super crowded, and they have seating for kids. Their changing table wasn't working, other than that the staff was accommodating. Food was pretty good also. Nice size portions.
MoreExcellent boutique tacos and an amazing queso fundido dish! Friendly service.
Very tasty food and great service. Definitely coming back.
Good tacos
I eat in this spot a lot since I work nearby. I got to say their customer service is always good and they keep the place neat at all times. Prices are affordable and they serve sizeable portions.
MoreOut of business they closed
Tacos and margaritas are good. Server was a bit too casual in attitude, let us over order significantly. Quite expensive for what you get.
MoreBurritos are on point, although for $12-$16 they'd better be. Beers are warm for some reason, and there are often old beer "floaters" in your pint glass. Clean the hoses!
MoreThe food was good and worth the price.
Wonderful food and good service, the portions were a bit larger than expected.
Came here out of convenience was in the neighborhood and craving nachos. Kinda bummed because I just spent 30 dollars on nachos a lemonade and a side of chips and salsa. (Who orders a side of chips and nachos?) yes it’s me a sociopath. But the nachos were way basic like something you’d get at a baseball game. The server was incredibly nice and cool so I feel compelled to give 4 stars. Honestly I don’t know why I’m writing such an in depth review... maybe it’s because I paid 30 damn bucks for something that you would get at a Met’s game for cheaper and probably better!
MoreFriendly waiters and bartenders, good drinks, and solid burritos, tacos and nachos.
MoreBeen going as long as they've been open. One of my absolute all time favorites. My wife-to-be and I had our first date here. We've eaten more brunches and burritos than you can imagine. The Cafe De Olla is a favorite.
MoreDurango burrito was absolutely great. I had it with potatoes in place of riceHelpful staff. Happy Hour MargzDefinitely worth it. I really enjoyed it.
MoreNice setting. Not too loud, menu was a little thin, drinks weren't very strong, food portions a little smaller than I'd have liked. Solid place, I'd go again, but this cuisine isn't my favorite and I think that influences my feelings about this place.
MoreGreat fresh food. great ingredient quality. Salsa Verde is a must
Sad this place is gone
Food was ok but expensive and tip is added on to the bill.
The space is very cool. Large space nicely decorated and great for big groups. Unfortunately the food was not delicious. The tacos were far too large to eat with one's hand, bland and the taco sauce on the table was awful. I want my tacos to be smaller with 2 ingredients maybe 3 and burst with flavor. The tortilla was rubbery and soft, not crunchy. The sauce on the tacos did not help. I expect more from Williamsburg.
MoreFriday brunch with the family, plenty of seating, friendly and welcoming staff, large dishes, nice variety the menu and food combo choices, delicious eats. Marked a as favourite for when we visit again.
MoreFood was ok. Nothing special.
overpriced and not really authentic mexican food. The drink are pretty bad. However, it is always empty so it is easy to find a seat.
MoreThis place is AMAZING and I would recommend people to go there but it’s their last night and I’m so sad right now..., 10/10 otherwise though!
